Vevor Cutting Plotter

The plotter cuts along a vector outline what a printer can print but not cut: stickers in the shape of the artwork, stencils, vinyl lettering, box nets from cardboard. Its main trick is print-and-cut. A sheet with the artwork and registration marks is printed on the printer next to it, the plotter finds the marks with its camera and cuts exactly along the outline, even if the sheet went in askew. Two tools are mounted at once, so one pass can, for example, kiss-cut the stickers and crease the fold lines.

How to use

1. The plotter's software is on the computer next to the printers. It drives the whole process: printing the artwork with marks on the printer, then cutting along those marks.
2. Material is on the shelf above the printers: self-adhesive paper, film, cardboard. You can bring your own.
3. Prepare the file: cut lines on a separate layer or in a separate colour; the software adds the marks.
4. Print the sheet, put it into the plotter with the mark in the corner the software indicates, start mark detection and cutting.
5. For stickers without printing, such as vinyl lettering, no marks are needed: load the material and cut right away.
6. Afterwards take out the material and the offcuts, park the blade.

Take care

• Find the blade depth by testing on a scrap: for stickers cut only the film, not the backing.
• Do not cut anything thicker than cardboard or metallised materials without a test.
